Mocha tweets #OustLeni after urging people to unite amid nCoV

After urging people to cooperate and support the measures given by health authorities in the Philippines, Overseas Workers Welfare (OWWA) Deputy Administrator Mocha Uson posted on her Twitter account: “Sana ay magtulungan na lang kaysa sa pinupulitika pa ang mga ganitong bagay.”

However, Uson seemingly contradicted her first statement, reiterating that there is a need for Vice-President Leni Robredo to think twice about the position she is handling.

What urged Uson to provide a statement as such is due to the trending #OustDuterte campaign on Twitter. The said hashtag criticizes the slow response of the Philippine government in preventing the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) which originated in China.

Netizens bashed Uson, questioning her efforts in monitoring the approaching arrival of overseas Filipino workers (OFW) coming from China by Sunday, February 9, 2020.

(Why don’t she focus on her high position in OWWA instead? We are no longer questioning her, being a former entertainer and dancer so might as well give the best shot in her present job.”)
