The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT 3) are in the process of conducting an on-foot inspection at its structures at the ground level below the viaduct and along the sidewalk—including the columns, piers, abutments, and exteriors of retaining walls as well as the pier coping beam and bottom slab that includes the bearings, girders, expansion joints, and diaphragms.
MANILA — As part of the MRT 3’s rehabilitation program that is aimed at improving the safety and service levels of the rail transit, the MRT management says the inspection of the ground level structures will be conducted on 31 July and 07, 14, 21, and 28 August from 6:00 to 10:30 in the morning. The initial rehabilitation work has started 24 July.
Continued maintenance work and rehabilitation that will involve the pier coping beam and bottom slab will be conducted on 30 August to 03 September, 6 to 10, 13 to 17, 20 to 24 September, 27 to 01 October 1, and 02 to 07 October from 11:00 in the evening until 3:00 in the morning of the following day.
