Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) turned over its quarantine facility at the Philippine Arena to the national government.
The Philippine Arena is expected to open its 300-bed facilities that provide 24/7 health care, free meals for both patients and frontliners, air-conditioned cubicles, and free Internet connection.
The Department of Health (DOH) announced the deployment of 50 health workers in the quarantine facility to treat COVID-19 patients.
INC collected hospital beds from the Villar Group of Companies. The MVP Group of Companies will provide free access for medical health workers and patients through the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).
“We would like to thank our kapatiran sa Iglesia headed by Chief Minister Eduardo Manalo. The government would like to thank you for your generosity,” said Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., the Chief Implementer of the National Task Force COVID-19.
Galvez said the collective initiative of groups involved reflects the bayanihan spirit amid the COVID-19 crisis.
