National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas showed gratitude to President Rodrigo Duterte for defending him after the controversy on his mañanita and alleged violation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
With that, Sinas likewise urged critics to move on.
The police chief also thanked the president for acknowledging his efforts.
“‘Yung iba kung nagkamali man, okay lang, tuloy lang ang trabaho. Ang guidance naman ni President, tuloy ang trabaho at ipagpatuloy ang magandang gawain. ‘Yun po ang gagawin namin,” Sinas added, admitting he is in high morale due to Duterte’s latest remark.
The NCRPO chief’s ECQ violations like failure to observe social distancing and wear a facemask did not convince the president to remove Sinas from his post. In his national address, Duterte even described Sinas as good and honest police.
Moreover, the mañanita was not blamed over Sinas but to his subordinates who surprised him.
The Philippine National Police Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS) Inspector General Attorney Alfegar Triambulo said Duterte’s pronouncement does not have an impact on the NCRPO chief.
PNP-IAS also said the criminal and administrative complaints against Sinas will go through.
